Summer League 24
Winter League has now given way to Summer League tennis. With the addition of a new Park Men 4, the Club now has 10 teams in action in the short format Summer League. It might be early on in the season but there has already been quite a bit of action including in our first ever Evening Double Header - here's a round up of what you might have missed...
Park Ladies
Park Ladies 1 - Division 3
Park Ladies 1 opened their campaign against Park Ladies 2 (yes we are in the same division again) in our inaugural Evening Double Header. There were a few last minute Team selection hurdles to overcome, but once those were sorted it was game on! Park Ladies 1, ran out 10-2 winners but that score line does not reflect the closeness of each of the match ups overall. There was plenty of nerve wracking games and far too many deuce games for Ellie and Rachel's liking! Thanks to all who came down to lend support and to Park Ladies 2 for the challenge, and great spirit the match was played in.
Next up was Collingham at home on June 9th and a 9-3 win ensued. Park Ladies 1 take to the road on June 23rd for an away tie against Caunton 1.

Park Ladies 2 - Division 3
Park Ladies 2 have also just played the one game so far. The Team provided a strong challenge for Park Ladies 1 in the opening match and showed the quality the Team possess. Some great tennis sets the Team up for a good season. Park Ladies 2 second match was away against Ravenshead. Against a well respected and competitive team, the Team acquitted themselves but couldn't quite claim the victory.

Park Ladies 3 - Division 6
For those enjoying the newsletter, there's no surprise here to learn Park Ladies 3 have kicked off their campaign with two victories! With matches against Repton and Woodthorpe already under their belt, Park Ladies 3 are sitting top of Division 6. A great start to the season for the team who is continuing to build and grow in strength. Currently enjoying a short mid-season break, Park Ladies 3 are next in action away at Farnsfield on July 7th.

Park Mens
Park 1 - Division 2
Park Men 1 found themselves in the same position as Park Ladies 1 in needing to take on Park Men 2 in their opening match of the season. The Men's teams provided the other half of our inaugural Evening Double Header. played in glorious sunshine. Park Men 1 proved too strong on this occasion winning 11 - 1. They'll be ready to entertain again in another home match on June 23rd when they take on East Bridgford 1.

Park 2 - Division 2
Park Men 2 are playing in Division 2 following last year's successful Summer League Campaign. A tough opening match against Park Men 1 was nonetheless enjoyable and offered some great quality tennis all round. The Team was then back in action last week, when they took on DL West Bridgford in an away match. The results didn't quite go their way but there is still all to play for. Next up is a home match in July against Mapperley Park.

Park 3 - Division 5
Park Men 3 opened their Summer League campaign with a home win against Newark 2. A commanding 11 - 1 win is the springboard for the rest of the season as they look to capitalise on that as they hit the road for fixtures against East Bridgford 2 and West Bridgford 3 later this month.

Park 4 - Division 7
Our newest Team, Park Men 4, have had a cracking start to their first ever campaign. In a group which sees the four teams take each other on in both home and away fixtures, the Team had the unenviable task of starting with an away fixture at Grantham - never an easy place to visit. The Team triumphed 5-7 before again defeating Grantham again, in a 10-2 home victory. Next up its Sutton in Ashfield in home and away fixtures.
