The Single's Ladder
For any player wishing to try their hand at a single's competition, we run an uninterrupted Single's Ladder.
Any member of the club is welcome to join in, and will participate in a ladder format to challenge, broaden and develop their skills at single's tennis.
The ladder is a great way to get embedded with other players of a similar standard, whilst having the opportunity to play your way up to the top competitive levels of the club.
There is also a beginner's section of the ladder. Which encourages tennis newcomers to interact, play and get to know fellow newcomers.

The Club's 'Grand Slam' Calendar
At the Park Tennis Club, we have a number of internal Club competitions held throughout the year as well as the Single's Ladder and ad hoc events.
Our season kicks off in March/April with the 'Spring Slam' a one-day Ladies' and Men's doubles tournament. The tournament starts in round robin format before moving on to the knock out stages with the finals played out under our floodlights.
The first bank holiday Monday in May is dedicated to the 'Coronation Cup'. A one day tournament where 4 teams consisting of 6 mixed doubles pairs each, go head to head for the right to lift the Coronation Cup. A huge favourite with Club members it is an enjoyable team competition finishing off with a Club meal.
Next up in the calendar is the start of the Club Championships. From late June players are competing in knock out format through to Finals Day in September. We host Main Draw and Division 1 competitions for Men's and Ladies singles, Men's and Ladies' doubles and Mixed doubles as well as legends categories.
The final 'grand slam' event of the year is the Carole Harvey American Doubles held in Autumn.
A vibrant social scene at the Club means these events draw a crowd and will normally end up with a Club social after play concludes.
