The new Mixed 2nd team got off to a winning start on Sunday (30th May), beating Farnsfield 7-5 in the glorious sunshine.

Men’s 1st team beat DL West Bridgford 8-4 on Thursda night (27th May) to go top of the short format division 2. Well played to Josh and Chris who didn’t drop a point in their final rubber.

On Sunday (9th May) both National League teams played their second game of the season, at home on courts 1-3. The first team completed a comprehensive 6-0 win against the Tennis Centre in record time to allow the second team to play Lakeside straight afterwards. With consecutive wins, promotion beckons for the first team.
 
As it was getting dark, four hours later the second team at 3-3 went to a match shoot out. After the singles tie breaks it was still all square, taking everything to a final doubles tie break - with Lakeside winning that shoot out 10-8. If results go our way in two weeks time we could finish 1st and 2nd in the league.

​Starting this Friday, 9th April, there is a new Friday Evening Social session open to all members.

We are still restricted to a maximum of 16 players - so please book your spot using the Fastcourts booking system, in the same way you would for the usual Saturday/Sunday sessions, and please turn up just before 6pm.

Courts 1-3 have been reserved for the session from 6pm until 8pm (weather permitting, as ever!)

It seems a very long time since we last were able to play tennis at the club, but we are all hoping that we will re-open on 29th March.

Our members are eager to get back on court, and we expect to be able to play doubles, and also our well organised, but restricted, social tennis sessions.

The FastCourts booking system will be opened up just before the 29th.

Coaching will also return on 29th, but check with Matt and Jan as to what is allowed.

It's been a long wait - but it will be so good to get back on court!
