Dear Members,
Etiquette
We the committee have come up with an etiquette guide to follow to ensure everybody enjoys their tennis this summer and beyond.
Nothing in this document should be a surprise to anyone and is generally well followed. Please keep this up and help ensure everybody who enters our club enjoys the time they spend here.
The Etiquette Guide can be accessed here:

Community Park Lunches
Every third Thursday of the month, the Park Tennis Club Pavilion hosts an informal lunch for our community members. Cooked by volunteers there are two courses and the option to bring a bottle of wine, beer or what you like to drink. There is always the opportunity to chat with others, both from the park, the tennis club and further afield. For the first time this month there is going to be a theme to the lunch as it's taking place on the same day as Ladies Day at Royal Ascot. Come and join in the fun as we have a special buffet lunch of hot and cold food and we will watch two of the races, live from Ascot. You may like to dress for the occasion or come in whatever you are comfortable wearing, you'll be most welcome.
To book in for the a please telephone 07903060690 and let us know your are coming and if you have any dietary requirements. The Pavillion is fully accessible and the cost is £7.50 per person.
The next Park Lunches will be:
Thursday 20 June at 1 pm
Thursday 18 July at 12.30 pm
Thursday 15 June at 12.30 pm
Then every following third Thursday at 12.30 pm
With thanks to the NPRA for their support

Facilities
On June 5th with the supervision of Nick; Maeve and some of her workplace colleagues volunteered a day of their time to spruce up our club. They were able to brace the posts around courts 1-3 and apply some paint to further protect them and a couple coats of much needed varnish to the veranda decking. I think they have done a great job and it is a marked improvement on what it was before.
We have a company come in four times a year to sweep, clean, penetrate the infill and apply moss treatment to our courts. This helps to maintain the health of our courts.
Even with this, we do still need to sweep the courts often to ensure the sand is spread evenly. Suitable drag brushes are available around the club, and it is everyone’s responsibility to brush the courts. The more we do it the better the courts will be to play on!
Please ensure litter is put into bins. If you move things from where they should be, please return them to their original location. We are all members of the tennis club, there are no invisible cleaners, so we should all be trying our best to keep the club tidy.

AGM
We will have an AGM - Saturday 21st September. There will be treats!
Please come along to catch up on what has been going on in the club over the year, review of our accounts and what is planned for the future.
Finally, we are a growing club having just passed the 300 member mark. You are our best advocates, please continue to encourage friends, neighbours and colleagues to join! Note as an added bonus there is an incentive scheme if you do so.
