The Nottingham Squash Club and the Park Tennis Club

The two clubs have agreed to extend the facilities available to members of both clubs by forming a loose association which is mutually beneficial but does not involve any additional payment from any member.  This arrangement is scheduled to start on the 1st April 2016.
  1. Full members of the Squash Club and full members of the Park Tennis Club are now encouraged to share the facilities of each others club.
  2. Full members of the Tennis Club are defined as adult, adult family members, and adult couples. Students and juniors are excluded for the moment. For the NSRC , a full member is either a Gold member or an adult Family member.  Members of each club will have no voting rights in the other club.
  3. Joining and registration are easy – Members of the tennis club will pay a returnable deposit of £10.00 for a squash club card, obtainable at the squash club office, where you will be photographed and registered. The card gives you access to the squash club premises. Squash club members will have to contact Barrie Shay at barrie@bbc2home.co.uk or by telephone 0115 9414943 to be registered and given the access code for the gate.
  4. For NSRC members wanting to use the tennis courts. There is no booking system but you should be able to get a court at most times. There are some occasions when the green carpet courts are dedicated to coaching, social play or matches and these can be identified from the website. At these times there will very often be a tarmac court available, but you will also be very welcome to join in the social tennis. If you wish to bring a visitor who is not a member of either club, there is a charge of £3 to £4. Details of visitors fees and identifying when the green courts are used for coaching, Social Tennis and matches will be  available when you register.
  5. Members of both clubs will have to follow each others rules which can be found on www.parktennis.co.uk and www.nsrc.co.uk  ( via Membership / Club Rules and Bylaws )
  6. Squash club members will be eligible to play in tennis teams if they so wish and to participate in social tennis and tournaments etc. They can also receive coaching at reduced rates.
  7. Park Tennis Club members will have full access to the social facilities and the gym at the squash club, but will not be able to play squash.  This will include the changing facilities and parking in the NSRC car park ( but only when using the gym or bar
  8. The intention is to share social activities by exchanging our social programmes which can be seen on the web sites. Emails will only be circulated to those members of both clubs who have registered with the other.

Finally, both Chairman hope you will take full advantage of this new arrangement and we also hope for its success which may lead to further collaboration in the future.

Best wishes,

Bob Cullen and Richard O’Connor
